Batches are numbered sequentially. Lab processing begins the next business day after a batch closes. Note that our Genomic Research Center lab in Houston, Texas processes tests by test type. If a test is your first at Family Tree DNA, the lab begins processing your kit the next business day after the batch closes I have a R1b backbone snp pack test in batch 732. Until now I've been lucky: my FF delivered results in just two weeks, my y-37 test got ready in four weeks, and I've got results for a mtFull sequence test in three weeks. Let's see if my luck persists with the snp test . In principle, it seems that these delays that are affecting FF do not.

Batches are numbered sequentially. Lab processing begins the next business day after a batch closes. Note that our Genomic Research Center lab in Houston, Texas begins processing tests by test type. If a test is your first at Family Tree DNA, the lab begins processing your kit the next business day after the batch closes Please post your batch if you are waiting for results, and also (if you can drag yourself away from your results for a moment!) update to let us know when your test was completed and which batch. Currently waiting for Batch 919 here We're adding a Monday batch effective January 2 and will keep the Wednesday batch. This gets samples to the lab faster and should help reduce turnaround times. Keep in mind that the batch number simply indicates when the orders were sent to the lab and should not be used to compare when results are due I have been a bit behind in my postings, but I didn't want to miss the chance to write about the incredible lab tour of Family Tree DNA's awesome facility, which was definitely one of the highlights of the 2012 FTDNA Administrator's Conference for me

To add to FTDNA's delay woes, the company that supplied the reagent needed to perform all YDNA 12 marker tests stopped production and caused a serious backlog in processing YDNA. Although the reagent problem was sorted, and FTDNA hired additional staff to catch up, questions such as, Batch 599 Delayed by Holidays? and For those. I paid Family Tree DNA & so far all I've gotten is their website with a ton of additional fees attached to other tests I can buy. Batch DNA. In your family tree research you will eventually find that you have come to the end of the paper trail and there is insufficicent evidence to make that next definitive link. Fortunately your ancestry is documented in your DNA - so even when paper records fail, your deepest ancestor is still present in you - in your DNA Barb P. and FTDNA made me aware of a Wednesday batch processing cycle at FTDNA when kits received by Wednesday are processed. So if your kit arrives back at FTDNA on a Thursday it may sit there for a few more days before they process yours and all the kits they received in the previous cycle I can't say the batch order was a complete failure because I still got 3 deliveries done in less than an hour, but I still feel bad for the woman who got cold food. I assume you can't charge your phone in your car? Otherwise I would recommend a portable charger. You can get them pretty cheap nowadays I linked the dna tests for several of my family members about a month ago and I still have not gotten any results. When I check via the FTDNA website, it shows the link as active. When I check the DNA tab via Geni, it shows the date I submitted the link and says it is still processing. Is there a timeframe for how long the processing takes

The time has finally come for all of you who have been waiting. Family Tree DNA is now accepting raw data uploads from 23andMe.If you are already a customer of FTDNA, sign into your account from the home page and order from there to avoid creating a duplicate account This forum is for customers to talk about features they would like to see. It may also be used to report potential website issues and account bugs, though you may get faster service by sending those through the Open a Request feature found in the Customer Service link at the top of the forum page Both 23andMe and FTDNA allow you to download your raw DNA results for upload at other sites. It turns out that you can get a good deal by using both. Since 23andMe data is compatible with FTDNA, you can get tested at 23andMe and uploaded the raw data to FTDNA for only $89. So, for only $188 you can actually get both 23andMe and FTDNA I think all transfers to FTDNA get filed under Batch 2. Mine was in batch 2 last year, and I know one after mine (and after the build 37 conversion) was, too Good to have this available. I would add that the new Generic Fast Upload to Gedmatch for FTDNA and Ancestry files is the one to use. It is much faster and much less prone to errors while uploading

My FTDNA 25 Marker results were received on September 22 and my results for the 37 Markers were promised in another one or two weeks. There were some minor changes in the FTDNA 12 Marker names for some reason, but the remainder of the report (below) tempted me to add my results to Ysearch.org, the FTDNA-sponsored public database FTDNA sends the kits to the lab as the lab has room, usually once a week. The lab will cause the DNA to multiply to a point where they can get an accurate reading for each marker. This can take several months but generally the first batch of results are back in four to six weeks
